What I built, monthly.
Three brands - Busy Firm, Joyvo and Service Boss - built and run by one person. Every month, what shipped. (Just me and the Lord.)
The road ahead
Built for a team
The back end moves fully to TypeScript on NestJS (Fastify engine) - the structure big engineering teams use - area by area, tests first.
Never stale
A nightly check keeps every framework and every AI model current on its own; a release cannot ship on an outdated or mismatched version.
Faster releases
The release pipeline runs its 2,770+ checks once instead of nine times and its live tests side by side - every safeguard kept.
Faster builds
Already on the newest Next.js - next, the front end switches to its own Turbopack build engine for faster releases.
Every shop in your language
Each brand in its customers' own language - its own address per language, written to read naturally, never word for word.
Three brands, three voices
Every product described in each brand's own voice, so no two shops read alike.
Store ratings
Verified buyer reviews collected after every order, for star ratings on Google.
This week's releases
Your own currency
Every shop prices in the shopper's own currency, picked from where they are - with a flag menu to switch - and checkout charges exactly what the page shows.
On Google in 102 countries
All three brands list every product on Google Shopping in 102 countries, each in its local currency with real shipping.
3D, every side
The 3D preview shows the design on the front, back and both sleeves, printed onto the fabric itself.
True colours
Garments drawn layer by layer the way the print network draws them, so every side shows the colour you picked.
Payments on TypeScript
The plan and server-order payment confirmations moved to the TypeScript back end, verified by signature.
Tests in TypeScript
The live customer test that runs after every release - a real site, a real test purchase - is now TypeScript too.
Earlier this month
Every form guarded
All 16 public forms on all three brands pass a spam gate first - bots get a polite "thanks", people pass through untouched.
One photo, every colour
Every garment drawn the way the print network draws it: one white photo per side, tinted to the colour picked - the same on the canvas, the thumbnails and the WordPress plugin.
Screenshots that scroll
Every still screenshot glides to its bottom on hover.
Richer Google listings
Clothes carry colour, gender and age group; products are never offered where they cannot ship.
Bigger and safer
CRM, grown up
Customers connect their own mailbox, send sequences, take bookings and share links - CRM Solo $12, Team $29.
Marketplace
A multi-seller marketplace on all three sites.
WordPress
The AI Website Builder and the product designer as WordPress plugins; WordPress hosting the AI builds for you.
One calendar
A booking on one brand blocks the same time on the other two.
Google Shopping
550+ products per shop on Google, with real shipping to 221 countries.
Spam stopped
Every public form checks for bots before anything is saved or sent.
All TypeScript
The front end is 100% TypeScript; the back end is moving over, area by area.
Safety net
2,770+ automated safeguards run before every release, and every release builds a real customer site, puts it on WordPress and makes a real test purchase on all three brands.
Pictures we own
Every product photo is copied to our own servers and served from our own address - nothing hot-linked.
Selling everywhere it ships
Checkout takes addresses in 221 countries with the real shipping rate, and refuses an order it cannot deliver before any money moves.
Same shop, three brands
Every release checks that all three shops sell the same catalogue, each product exactly once.
Open hours, everywhere
Business hours on every page, in the contact page and in search results.
Upgrade in one tap
A hosted site moves to a bigger plan in one press, billed the difference.
Three brands
Service Boss launches
The third brand opens on September 9: local service businesses - "We do the service, you be the boss."
Ten business types, every state
Formation covers 10 entity types, including Professional Corporations, with filing fees checked against every state's own records.
Domains
Domain names are registered for real, at a clear price.
Backups proven
Hosting backup and restore tested live, end to end, on all three brands.
Community
Profiles, follows, a feed and messages on all three sites.
The first sale
First real sale
A $155 LLC formation - and with it every gap that could lose a sale was found and closed: the order, the alert and the account now always appear.
Real prices, live
Plans and prices set and served from one place on every page.
Music Studio
Crackles and dropped taps fixed in the in-browser music studio.
One place for everything
Business HQ
A plan to bring every product - site, shop, CRM, billing - under one home for each customer.
One editor
The hand editor and the AI editor are joined into a single editor.
A live scene on Joyvo
The home page shows the whole flow - describe it, make it, print it, sell it - moving live.
It builds
The builder builds real sites
After months of work the chat writes real, multi-page sites end to end - proven by automated browser tests on every deploy.
Money safety first
A go / no-go checklist on billing and credits before any paying customer is let in.
Clean-up
57 pieces of dead code found and removed across both sites.
The builder comes first
Top priority
The AI Website Builder becomes the centre of the platform.
A big rebuild
The builder screen is broken into 30+ clean parts - its main file shrinks by 84%.
Edit from anywhere
Sites can be edited online from a phone, with the same tools as the desk.
New Joyvo home page
A fresh hero and better images on Joyvo's home page.
The foundation
One database
The whole platform moves onto PostgreSQL, with dumps kept for a safe rollback.
Daily backups
Every night the platform backs itself up to cloud storage.
The AI Website Builder starts talking
The builder engine is split into clear stages, each with its own checks, and chats with customers for the first time.
First code
Busy Firm and Joyvo begin
The first lines of both sites go in on March 2 and 4 - one shared platform, two brands, 220 changes in the first month.
The idea
The plan
Busy Firm (business formation and tools for owners) and Joyvo (design, print and sell) mapped out as one platform under two brands.
